So I did, I did indeed email them to see what they were asking for it. Big shocker..... $8,000. Only $1,000 less than what it was originally listed for, and $1,000 MORE than what I bought it for a year ago (Oh, but I thought it was "depreciated"... -__-)... And finally, that's TWO & A HALF times more than what I finally sold it back to them for.
I returned, not only did they decline my offer, but they in turn told me that my car had depreciated ANOTHER $500, leaving me with $3,500, which I went ahead and reluctantly took as I was done and over dealing with the car.
Should be called cascade LEMON auto sales dont waste your time gave this place 2 chances i refuse to refer anybody here unless u want a experience from hell if they need to fix your car for more than a day they dont even offer you a loaner your just stuck without a car until there finish word of advice try carmax or a professional dealer not these lemon heads
Obviously I turned that down, went out and tried to sell it elsewhere, I was on vacation for a month and after returning I decided to just go back to Cascade instead of dealing with other lots, hopefully I could negotiate a higher price from them.
Fast forward a month later. I see the car is listed on the website, with the phrase "email for price". Which already set off a red flag as it was the only car that specifically said that, and before I left with the check they gave me, I said "I'm going to check and see what you try to turn around and sell this for".
Purchased vehicle from them on a Saturday. Was told that they would call my insurance company with vehicle info Monday morning first thing. As of Tuesday late afternoon, my insurance company had to idea I had purchased another vehicle. I called cascade to notify them that they dropped the ball. I was told the salesman was off Tuesday so I would have to call. After I told him that we were promised that Monday cascade would take care of all of it, the man told me forget it that he would call my insurance company then he hung up on me. Customer service?? What happened to honoring your word?
I kept the car for another few months, put another $1,000 of work into it (still needs a transmission replacement), before finally purchasing a new vehicle from a different place. I returned to Cascade to sell their car back, only for them to tell me that the car I orignally bought for over $7,000, and was listed for $9,000 has now been depreciated to a value of $4,000 in just 8 months, and with only 10,000 miles added to it in that time.
With all due respect and human decency, the good ol' boys down at Cascade Auto have been sneaky and manipulative crooks.
Awesome
Phil and joe at cascades auto are top notch honest guys. They treated my wife and i like family and werent pushy at all. I went in dreading the salemans pitch. And we didnt get it. Straight forward honest hometown feel. And they have a great selection of used cars in good shape. Honestly the best car buying experience ive ever had. Id give them 10 stars if possible. Buy a car there you wont be dissappointed.
A little over a year ago, I purchased a vehicle from their lot for a little over $7,000 that they assured me was in great condition (they originally had it listed for almost $9,000), and had a near spotless carfax. Within 30 days of purchasing it, coincidentally the day before my "30 day warranty" was up, something major went wrong with the car making it nearly undrivable. Ticked, I went back to the lot and demanded they fix it under warranty, the looks on their faces said it all, they knew there was something wrong when they sold it me.
If I were you, I'd honestly go somewhere else.
Needless to say, that was sleezy, underhanded, and frankly they did me wrong here with their fibbing.
